My cookbook is centred around the interconnection between food and mental health with over 90 recipes that tie back to finding balance through a healthy lifestyle and strong mental wellbeing.
I wanted to write a cookbook that showed the importance of the relationship between food and mental wellbeing. The book is structured around the different experiences in life and how certain meals can evoke particular emotional states. Each chapter is divided into different emotions or states of being. For example, chapters include recipes ranging from ‘nurturing’, ‘comfort food’, ‘healthy’, ‘learning new skills. Each of these emotional states is guided by the food we eat
The book is a compilation of recipes from cooking classes held in my home (in pre-Covid times), old family recipes (some passed on from my Hungarian grandmother and mother) and recipes I have put together from my travels through Europe and the Middle East.
